For The Love of Burgundy

"Love all, trust few. Do wrong to none." -William Shakespeare
My new favorite mantra!

Burgundy, burgundy, burgundy. I have no words to describe how breathtaking you are. I've fallen in love with this color ever since fall season. It could just say so much. It's so simple and calm but strong. Believe me, in any outfit, put on anything that's burgundy and it suddenly turns stunning. It's still winter season here but finally it's starting to get hot again. I'm so excited to wear shorts and all kinds of summer clothes.
I love fridays. It's always the perfect day for me to take outfit shots and just do anything I want without worrying about the next day. Yesterday, I loved my outfit and it's been 2 weeks since my last ootd so I thought to myself that yeah, maybe I should take pictures outside while the weather is in favor. Haha!

Whenever my dad isn't available to take my pictures, I always let my sister take it. Sometimes my cousin too. Here they are!

Yes, they are 7 and 6 year olds. Hahaha! These are my babies and minions for life.

I hope you guys had a great week and stay tuned! xx

PS: I LOVE BURGUNDY

Must-haves, Do's, and Dont's!

Everyone has their own style, and of course you can't really change their taste. Although that's a fact, us girls (even boys) need to keep in mind some tips and some "rules" in fashion. You don't really want to go out and look like a total disaster right? You might not know that what you are wearing is already fashion suicide. Haha! So I'm going to share some basic tips with all of you about dressing up. No, I'm not a professional, and another no, you do not need to follow these. They're just in my opinion and you could totally stick with your own taste. :)

1. On a casual day, I don't think matching plain greens and reds together is good.
I mean those are really good colors but I'm not quite sure if that'd look pretty. A solid green top and solid red pants? I think it's too christmas-y.

2. Loose on loose.
This isn't really a fixed rule since there are some exceptions where this actually looks good. But most of the time, especially if you are conscious about your body, this kind of makes people look fat. Then again, it's your decision!

3. Print on print.
Just like #2, this is a pretty vague tip because of massive exceptions. Print on print is good provided that the colors are well coordinated.

4. Long with long.
This tip basically means do not wear super long tops with jeans or a maxi skirt. For me it just looks like the person is drowning.

That's the end of it and I hope you guys don't judge me. I'm just trying to help and I do not intend to hurt anyone's feelings or attack someone. Anyway, at the end of the discussion, it's still YOU who decides. :)

For part II of this post, I will share with you my own thoughts about make-up or beauty stuff. I'm not really a make-up girl. In fact, I do not know how to put these products by myself. I also cry whenever they put eyeliner on me. What I'm going to tell you guys aren't really "tips" but whatever you guys think it is. Haha!

a.) ALWAYS wash your face.
Use facial scrub once a day but that doesn't mean you only wash your face once. We need to keep our skin healthy especially our face because it's always exposed to both heat and dirt. Wash it before you sleep and rinse it whenever you have a chance to prevent pimples, blackheads, and all that.

b.) Use moisturizer.
Hot or cold, you need moisturizer to keep your face fresh.

c.) Use powder.
Not because you don't use make-up and everything else doesn't mean you shouldn't use powder too. It's not being maarte but it's just being presentable and we can't deny that it also makes us look fresher! :)

d.) Tone your face.
Make it a point that you always tone your face. Frequently remove the dirt that soap can't.

e.) Oil strips should ALWAYS be in your kit.
If you are always oily just like me, always use oil strips. It doesn't matter where you are, this just really helps. Sometimes, you are not tired and all but you feel so ugly. This is probably because of the oil on your face. Always keep in mind, oiliness is next to ugliness!

f.) Last but not the least, make sure you eat lots of fruits, veggies, and drink lots of water!
This is the easiest you could do. Usually, we have the chance to eat or drink healthily but we don't. Of course how could we resist junk food right? But now we know, always take the chance to stay healthy! :)

I hope these helped and enlightened you about lots of things. Once again, do not judge me or anything please! Haha. You do not need to follow me if you do not want to. No one's forcing you and most importantly, be confident about yourself. Have a good day, readers! xoxo

Polyvore

Hey readers! I just want to announce that I finally gave in and made a polyvore account. Since I can't really produce my own outfit posts whenever an idea pops in, I'm just going to publish them on my account for all of you to see! You could view it here. I hope you guys enjoy and like it. Tell me what you think! :)

Sweet Sixteen

Hola readers! It's been quite a long time since my last blogpost. Well anyways, just last Saturday, 8th of December 2012, I turned a year older and a year wiser. I'm finally 16! It's another first here in America. Celebrating here is just completely new to me. I'm not used to spending my birthday with the whole clan. It was very nice though. To see everyone on my special day. Everybody's been asking me 3 weeks before my birthday about how I want to celebrate it since turning 16 is a really big deal here. I didn't have anything in mind because I already had everything so I just told my parents I wanted to shoot in a castle just like a princess. They liked my idea but there were some problems because of work schedules. So instead of celebrating it on the day itself, we celebrated it on the 9th and we just went to Daly City on the 8th to celebrate with my father's side. (It was also my grandmother's birthday!)

So for a princess-like theme, I wore a short dress with a sparkly effect. I didn't go for the long gown stuff anymore because that's going to seem too much as if it's my debut. Haha! Also, we tried the new light my dad bought for himself. It's pretty cool, I may say.

What do you guys think? :)

Thanksgiving 2012

Hey guys! Yet another blogpost again for another first here in America. Thanksgiving! Yes, it's our first time to experience Thanksgiving. Too bad my mom's not with us to celebrate since she has work at Nevada and couldn't really take a day off. There's always next time! My dad, sister, and I spent almost our whole Thanksgiving Break week at my dad's side at Daly City near San Francisco. Just like me, my cousins are such photo addicts too. So last Tuesday, we had an adventure around San Francisco and took pictures. We reached Balboa, San Francisco State University, and other places. Might as well share our pictures during that day with you!

And as for Thanksgiving, we first celebrated with dad's side then my mom's side for dinner. I do not have any pictures during dinner because it was my grandfather who took some. Anyhow, here are some images during that day and some ootd's of my cousins and I!

She Was A Skater Girl

This is a late blogpost but don't you love days where you need to have 2 or more outfits? I do! These pictures and outfits were for last Saturday's occasion. It was my grandfather's birthday celebration at home and all our other relatives were there. I officially fell in love with skater dresses and skater skirts. The dress and black skirt I wore in the following images are such steals! I bought both from Cotton On and the skirt was only worth $5 while the burgundy dress was only $10.
