Back to Black: Part I

Hey everyone! I know I say this in almost every single entry but, I'm sorry for the lack of posts on my blog. Summer's been really good to me and I've been too occupied with a lot of things hence the overdue posts.

But anyways, I'm back and I'm in the process of starting this series called "Style What?" The phrase "say what?" served as in inspiration while I was thinking of a title. "Style What?" already speaks for itself. I believe you already know what it'd be all about. I'm going to pick a piece from my wardrobe and style it in 3 different ways. Leave a comment below if you have any suggestions for my next posts!

The staple piece I chose for the pilot entry is a black skater skirt. (Hence the post's title) You guys are probably wondering why I picked that. Well mainly because it's been such a hype for the past few months and I'm not going to deny, I really adore it. It's one of the pieces you would want to keep no matter what season it is because of it's versatility and more so because it's black! Anything black is easy to dress up and down.

I'm dividing Back to Black in three different posts and I will be presenting a style in each. For the first one, I went with the "soft grunge" style.

I consider this soft grunge because it's the most "rebel" type out of all 3 outfits I laid out and prepared. It looks girly and funky at the same time. The combination of a denim vest + skirt & heels did a good job balancing the look.

Denim Vest: Levis Gray Tank: Forever 21 Skirt: Cotton On Belt: Hollister
Wedges: People Are People (Philippines)

I am currently addicted to stacking up some rings. Aren't they so adorbz?!
Knuckle Rings: Forever 21

Love Bangle: Forever 21 Layered Bracelet: Nordstrom Braided Bracelet: Cotton On
(The picture of my rings and bracelets aren't edited. I love my portrait lens so much.)

Oh and can I just express how happy I am for finally getting a better hang of self-timer and a tripod!
